DevOps Engineer

Pollard Digital Solutions - Europe operates as a full-solution supplier of lottery management and iLottery technology for lottery markets. As a division of Pollard Banknote Ltd, the organization supports 60 lotteries worldwide by providing instant ticket products, licensed games, retail merchandising solutions, and innovative digital technology.

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 7 DevOps engineers through coaching, 1:1s, performance reviews, career development, and hiring/onboarding;
• Define and evolve DevOps standards, patterns, and best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure, automation, and release governance;
• Drive platform reliability and operational excellence using observability and SRE practices;
• Provide hands-on support for complex issues, escalations, and critical deployments;
• Champion DevSecOps by integrating security controls into pipelines and infrastructure;
• Partner with Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform, Application, and Operations stakeholders to align delivery models and priorities;
• Reduce operational toil through an automation-first mindset and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Collaborate with global DevOps leads to align tooling, share patterns, coordinate operational support, and represent regional needs.

• 7+ Years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE);
• 2+ Years in a senior or lead capacity with demonstrated technical leadership and ownership of outcomes;
• Strong cloud experience, with AWS strongly preferred;
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi;
• Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell;
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence across engineering, leadership, and cross-functional teams;
• Nice to have: Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or high-availability industries, experience designing for high availability and disaster recovery, performance tuning, and scaling strategies, DevSecOps depth, familiarity with observability stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK, experience collaborating across time zones, AWS certifications, familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira, awareness of EU compliance requirements like GDPR.
