HyperHug is an international game development studio specializing in the shooter genre. The studio develops Oxide: Survival Island, an immersive multiplayer survival shooter for mobile platforms.

• Own the DevOps/SRE function end-to-end, including building and scaling the team from scratch;
• Define best practices and establish processes for 24/7 infrastructure reliability, monitoring, on-call rotations, and incident response;
• Design and implement strategies to prevent, detect, and mitigate DDoS attacks;
• Handle severity updates and ensure rapid incident response and resolution;
• Deploy, configure, and manage a centralized node control system;
• Apply security patches and updates to ensure system integrity and compliance;
• Set up and maintain databases in a highly available and fault-tolerant architecture;
• Manage and monitor servers across multiple regions, including US-based servers;
• Design and maintain scalable solutions for high traffic loads;
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines run smoothly for reliable application deployment;
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures;
• Maintain, update, and scale nodes while minimizing downtime.

• 5+ Years of hands-on experience in DevOps / SRE roles in high-load production environments;
• Proven track record of building DevOps processes, infrastructure, and teams from scratch;
• Hands-on experience with DDoS mitigation tools and practices;
• Strong knowledge of centralized node management systems;
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar);
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools;
• Experience with database deployment and management;
• Solid grasp of security principles and experience applying security patches;
• Ability to manage distributed servers;
• Excellent problem-solving and incident response skills;
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities;
• English B1+ level;
• Russian C1 level.
