cloud engineer for tax applications

Zasta is a tax app founded in 2017 and recognized as a leading tax app in German app stores. Its software helps taxpayers submit professional tax returns with support from real tax advisors, and more than 2 million users rely on the app.

• Develop and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure;
• Automate infrastructure and deployments with Infrastructure as Code and modern CI/CD processes;
• Ensure the reliable operation of containerized applications and continuously develop the platform;
• Take responsibility for monitoring, logging, system stability, and performance;
• Work closely with development and product teams and introduce Cloud and DevOps best practices.

• Several years of experience building and operating modern cloud infrastructures on AWS;
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems, and Git-based development processes;
• Knowledge of operating relational databases, monitoring, and logging of cloud applications;
• Good understanding of networks, cloud security, and automation;
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style;
• Enjoyment of collaboration in interdisciplinary teams;
• German at a negotiation level (C2);
• Nice to have: Experience with Helm, Karpenter, or service mesh technologies, knowledge of Cloud Security and FinOps.

• A work permit for Germany is required.
