Python engineer in marketing tech

Would you be interested in continuing to develop as a Senior Backend Engineer in a high-performance technological environment, participating in a strategic automation and innovation project for a leading multinational in the video game industry? We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a specialized Marketing Tech team. You will be part of a multidisciplinary technical team based at the Poblenou Technology Hub in Barcelona, developing the strategic initiative from scratch, Autopilot, aimed at automating and optimizing the entire user acquisition (UA) flow through automated integration with external advertising platforms and AI tools.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and REST API calls (both internal and to third-party advertising platforms: Google, Meta, AppLovin, etc.) using Python.
• Develop process automation scripts to connect internal tools and orchestrate the programmatic mass delivery of campaigns, managing system tracking and logs.
• Integrate the project logic with the cloud infrastructure on AWS and perform database queries and design using SQL.
• Create and maintain a basic user interface (UI) layer or monitoring dashboard (lightweight frontend with TypeScript/React) to visualize the automation flow and present the pilot results to management.
• Make proposals regarding the technical feasibility of modules, constructively challenge architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with Data and AI engineers.

• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in Backend software engineering.
• Strong command of Python as the primary language for developing services, microservices, and automation scripts.
• Extensive experience consuming, designing, and securing REST APIs with third-party platforms and services.
• Knowledge of and practical experience in Cloud environments (AWS) and designing and querying relational databases (SQL).
• Basic knowledge or experience in Frontend development (TypeScript, React, or similar) to implement simple monitoring dashboards or basic visualization interfaces.
• Intermediate English (ability to read and interpret technical documentation and code comments) and fluent Spanish.
• A high degree of autonomy, proactivity, and adaptability to work on exploratory projects / PoCs.
