Python engineer for AI search analytics

Peec AI provides an analytics platform that helps marketing, SEO, and growth teams measure brand visibility across AI search platforms, compare their visibility with competitors, and identify opportunities to improve. The company is defining the AI search analytics category.

• Own complex backend systems end to end, from scoping and architecture to reliable delivery
• Design and build scalable APIs and distributed systems that power the products
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and Design teams to turn product ideas into backend solutions
• Drive innovation in backend architecture and developer experience
• Evolve backend architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling to support rapid iteration at scale
• Identify and execute improvements to system performance, reliability, and developer experience

• 5+ Years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments
• Deep expertise in Python and FastAPI, with a track record of building and scaling production systems
• Experience designing and implementing REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs for user-facing products
• Strong experience with SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for production systems
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, ideally on GCP, including Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, or Firestore
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
• Familiarity with Vertex AI and ML-specific infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and a high sense of ownership; able to work autonomously while staying aligned with team goals
• Demonstrated excellence, which may also be outside work, such as a high FIDE rating
• Kind, collaborative, and hardworking, with empathy and openness
