Data engineer in e-commerce

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines to enable comprehensive shop performance analyses and reporting for retail media partners
• Developing and implementing automated reporting solutions based on the requirements of various business stakeholders
• Further developing revenue attribution models and expanding reporting capabilities for our advertising platform
• Taking responsibility for data quality across all relevant data assets
• Working closely across functions with Product, Tech, and Retail Media teams

• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Very good SQL skills, including query optimization in big data environments
• Experience with data transformation tools (e.g. dbt) in a big data context
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, with a focus on robust and flexible data models for high-volume event and tracking data
• A solid understanding of frontend tracking and the implementation of web analytics (e.g. GA4)
• Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g. Dagster, Airflow) and cloud-based big data platforms (e.g. Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift)
• Experience with optimization techniques such as partitioning and clustering
• A high degree of independence and the ability to drive projects forward autonomously
• Strong communication skills for working with different stakeholders
• A structured, solution-oriented approach to work with a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• A team-oriented approach to work and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
