Betby provides a sportsbook featuring risk management and omnichannel support to players across multiple markets. Its Risk-Management Product Group develops risk management tools and back-office pages used by internal risk managers and external operator clients to manage sportsbook risk.

• Develop and maintain high-load backend services using Python (asyncio)
• Design, support, and optimize microservice architecture components
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Implement integrations with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and internal RPC services
• Refactor and improve existing services for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Write functional and integration tests to ensure system stability
• Collaborate with developers, QA, analysts, and product teams
• Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing

• Python 3.11 and 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong hands-on experience with asyncio and asynchronous programming; 3+ years preferred
• Experience with microservice architecture, REST API, and RPC
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Good understanding and practical application of SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles
• Experience designing internal libraries, SDKs, or shared components
• Experience with Pydantic v2 and stream processing
• Solid understanding of RPC, including designing RPC servers, request/response, retries, and correlationId
• Experience with Kafka consumer groups, delivery guarantees, schema design, and defining optimal partitioning strategies
• Experience with RabbitMQ, including RPC, pub/sub, DLX, and retries
• Experience with MongoDB indexes, configs, and transactions
