The organization develops and manages software and hardware for a fleet of approximately 4,000 operational vehicles. Its systems are used intensively every day in an operational environment where reliability, security, and continuity are essential.

• Develop and maintain Linux-based software;
• Perform scripting and development with Bash and Python;
• Design, configure, test, and maintain Linux systems;
• Develop and maintain containers and container images;
• Expand and improve CI/CD pipelines;
• Automate administration and deployment processes;
• Improve security, stability, and manageability;
• Integrate software, infrastructure, and vehicle functionality;
• Contribute to architecture and future technical decisions;
• Coach and support less experienced developers;
• Monitor technical quality within the team;
• Write code and actively develop, improve, test, and maintain the software stack;
• Provide technical direction when needed;
• Help colleagues resolve technical issues and bring structure to complex technical discussions;
• Act as a technical sparring partner for the Product Owner and other stakeholders;
• Contribute to future technical improvements, including application and hardware renewal and potential AI adoption.

• HBO-level working and thinking capacity;
• Extensive experience as a software developer and ability to operate at senior level;
• Experience with Python;
• Experience designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Linux systems;
• Coaching skills and willingness to support colleagues;
• Broad technical expertise and interest in architecture and technical decisions;
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders;
• Excellent command of Dutch;
• Nice to have: experience with Angular, Kotlin, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
