Python Developer

• Build new platform modules end-to-end, from technical specification to production deployment;
• Translate business requirements into technical specs including use cases, data models, and API designs;
• Execute modernization of the Python/Flask codebase to ensure clean layered architecture, reduced technical debt, and improved testability;
• Act as a quality gate for AI-generated code by identifying logic errors, security issues, and architectural violations;
• Partner with the Intelligence Systems Engineer on features involving the AI/agent layer;
• Collaborate with the Angular Architect on API contracts and frontend integration;
• Write operational documentation such as changelogs, operations guides, and architecture docs;
• Identify and address security concerns during the development process.

• Proven commercial experience as a Senior Backend or Full Stack Engineer with active hands-on coding;
• Strong proficiency in modern Python with a focus on clean, type-safe, and well-documented code;
• Solid experience with Python web frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django;
• Expertise in relational databases, SQL, and schema design;
• Strong security mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate web vulnerabilities;
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude;
• Experience with containerization and background processing systems;
• Excellent independent problem-solving skills;
• Nice to have: Proven experience decomposing monolithic/legacy codebases into clean layered architecture, hands-on modernization experience within mature production-grade SaaS products, familiarity with Python ORMs like SQLObject or SQLAlchemy.
