Python Developer

• Develop analytics and optimization tools including GUI and backend services leveraging the Aqua platform;
• Collaborate within the Aqua high-performing delivery-focused Business Solutions team;
• Work with front office users to understand requirements and propose new solutions;
• Partner with quants and the risk engine team to deliver solutions that matter;
• Master complex business domains to provide solutions to critical business problems;
• Design and build full-stack webapps and backend services supporting the derivatives business.

• 5+ Years of experience in software engineering with a strong academic background in an applied engineering field such as computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics;
• Proficiency in functional and object-oriented programming particularly Python;
• Experience in full-stack development including frontend webapps and backend services;
• Expertise in MS Azure cloud infrastructure to deploy webapps and services;
• Background in delivering solutions via AGGrid and SSRM incorporating large datasets;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how things work;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the desire to work together with stakeholders;
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Investment Banking, FinTech or Financial Markets.
