The company builds and hosts a SaaS platform for time tracking, project management, and invoicing. The platform serves more than 500 customers and over 23,000 professionals, with a focus on complex infrastructure, construction, and R&D collaboration projects.

• Take over technical leadership from a co-founder transitioning away from operational engineering;
• Program in PHP on a custom backend without a standard framework and contribute to front-end discussions;
• Build an overview of the product and team and gradually assume responsibility;
• Act as the technical contact for customers regarding connections and integrations;
• Translate between business and technology;
• Conduct progress discussions with the team;
• Guide junior and medior developers toward greater ownership;
• Act as a technical sounding board for the product owner on new features and product development;
• Ensure processes remain demonstrable for audits and certifications.

• 2–3 Years of experience leading a team of at least 3–4 developers, including mentoring junior developers and making architectural decisions;
• Extensive PHP experience, preferably also outside standard frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony;
• Strong analytical ability to understand a custom-built codebase;
• Experience with GitHub and Jira;
• Ability to work with AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot without compromising code understanding;
• Customer-oriented communication with non-technical stakeholders;
• Enjoy coaching interns, junior, and medior developers;
• Fluent Dutch;
• Comfortable working with many different types of personalities;
• Live nearby and be able to travel by public transport.

• Salary up to €90k based on 40 hours;
