PHP Developer

Zexter is a product company building its own technological ecosystem in the iGaming industry. It develops a proprietary platform that is live and actively operating while continuously expanding its product portfolio.

• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-structured backend code;
• Ensure reliability and data accuracy under high load;
• Develop and maintain high-load production systems;
• Design and optimize SQL queries, indexes, transactions, and concurrency control;
• Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks;
• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs;
• Implement automated unit, component, and integration tests;
• Perform load and performance testing and validate system behavior under heavy traffic;
• Take responsibility for features from implementation and testing through deployment, monitoring, and production incident resolution;
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, logging, monitoring, and production incident investigations;
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, transactions, and provider integrations;
• Integrate third-party game providers, payment gateways, and other external services;
• Explain technical decisions, implementation details, and associated risks.

• 4+ Years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript;
• 4+ Years of hands-on production experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases;
• Strong SQL expertise, including query optimization, index design, performance analysis, transaction management, concurrency control, and bottleneck resolution;
• 3+ Years of commercial experience with NestJS;
• Excellent understanding of Dependency Injection, modular application architecture, Clean Architecture, software design principles, REST API design, and backend service architecture;
• Experience with automated unit, component, and integration testing;
• Experience with load and performance testing;
• Experience working on systems where financial accuracy, idempotency, transaction consistency, and auditability are critical;
• Strong ownership mindset;
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions, implementation details, and risks;
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and independently prioritize tasks;
• Experience with code reviews, debugging, logging, monitoring, and production incident investigation;
• Commercial experience in the iGaming industry;
• Experience developing or maintaining backend systems for online casinos, sports betting, gaming platforms, wallets, payment systems, or transaction processing;
• Strong understanding of reliability, security, and data consistency requirements of production iGaming systems;
• Nice to have: Practical experience using AI-powered developer assistants such as Cursor or Claude, experience with Redis, message queues, background jobs, event-driven architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
