• Lead an internal team developing AI products
• Work as a subject-matter expert on client projects within multidisciplinary teams
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments
• Build production-level ML/AI solutions using solid software engineering practices
• Guide Data Scientists in scaling models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping
• Deliver training, lead internal meetings, and organize external events
• Participate in team meetings and client workshops
• Write blog articles, present at conferences, and send press releases on the subject area
• Shape and execute the future of the Machine Learning Engineering expertise within Sia
• Contribute to the professional growth and expansion of the Data team

• MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field
• 2–4 Years of experience building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines and models
• Good understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and strong knowledge in a specific domain, such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP
• Expert coding skills in Python and at least one of Scala, C++, or Java
• Hands-on experience with database management languages such as SQL or PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Hands-on experience with Unix-based command lines and DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics and the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas
• First-rate project management and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex issues into simple, impactful business solutions
• Enthusiasm for applying Data Science/Engineering solutions to business problems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts concisely
• Ability to adapt rapidly and work across different business areas in a challenging environment
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Dutch
• Willingness to travel and work with local and international clients
