• Build web services, data pipelines, and software infrastructure for developing and deploying machine learning functionality to the production website;
• Assist in designing and implementing core machine learning algorithms for product teams, including search ranking, sponsored product ads, advertising technologies, recommendations, personalization, and marketing;
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by management;
• Lead and inspire other engineers.

• Have at least three years of professional software development experience;
• Demonstrate strong coding skills and proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL;
• Design and build highly performant and scalable systems;
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills;
• Have basic familiarity with machine learning, analytics, or related fields;
• Collaborate and communicate effectively;
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or have equivalent experience;
• Nice to have: web service development, Hadoop/Spark, information retrieval technologies, search engines, recommendation systems, batch and streaming data pipelines, data mining, learning to rank, deep learning, natural language processing, machine learning, unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, Beam, TensorFlow, Keras, Torch, CUDA, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Linux, bash, Redis, Cassandra, RDBMS, Bigtable, HBase, Solr, Continuous Integration, performance troubleshooting, willingness to learn new tools, flexibility to adapt to different deployment pipelines.
