machine learning engineer for grocery and retail

Deliveroo is part of a global, three-sided marketplace serving millions of customers, riders, and partners. Its New Verticals team aims to grow monthly active usage beyond restaurant ordering by bringing groceries, retail, and other services to users through the app.

• Build and improve ranking models for grocery and retail vertical landing pages
• Design models that integrate new-vertical content into the restaurant-focused homepage without disrupting the core experience
• Build personalisation models that use existing user behaviour to recommend new verticals
• Contribute to notification targeting, including audience, message, and timing, to drive adoption of new verticals

• At least 3 years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist
• Ability to write high-quality production code in Python
• Experience with end-to-end model productionisation
• A preference for simplicity and impact
• Background in personalisation, ranking, or recommender systems
