myTomorrows is a global health tech company that helps patients access treatments in development. It connects patients, healthcare professionals, trial sites, advocacy groups, and BioPharma companies through an AI-powered platform and services for clinical trial patient recruitment, Expanded Access Program management, and Real-World Data collection.

• Design and implement scalable and reliable backend systems and infrastructure;
• Develop and maintain microservices exposing platform functionality to internal and external clients;
• Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to ensure system availability, scalability, and security;
• Collaborate with DevOps Engineers on continuous software delivery and deployment;
• Identify and implement improvements to platform architecture and functionality;
• Develop and maintain system and process documentation;
• Mentor and train junior backend team members;
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies;
• Build trust with Product, Frontend, and DevOps peers and take ownership of 2–3 domain APIs/services, including their contracts and SLAs;
• Establish an API-first workflow using use cases, OpenAPI specifications, naming conventions, FastAPI, and Pydantic models;
• Deliver API features end to end, from design and implementation to testing and documentation;
• Improve API robustness through validation, consistent error models, pagination, idempotency, backward-compatible versioning, and automated contract tests in CI;
• Improve service reliability and performance through observability, SLIs, and SLOs;
• Make safe MySQL database changes with SQLAlchemy migrations and optimize critical queries;
• Contribute to data access patterns involving DynamoDB or Neo4j while maintaining stable API contracts;
• Strengthen API security through authentication and authorization boundaries, scoped tokens, least-privilege access, secrets management, and rate limiting;
• Write API documentation and examples, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.

• Proficiency in Python;
• 3+ Years of experience in a related field;
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle;
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP;
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the organization;
• Excellent English communication skills.
