• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team;
• Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems;
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics teams to articulate technical constraints and make trade-off decisions;
• Proactively identify and resolve project, process, technology, or business issues;
• Support operations and system availability by creating and monitoring metrics, and participating in on-call rotations;
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting and improving code review and design standards;
• Develop team talent by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

• 4+ Years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin;
• Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes;
• Experience defining technical plans for the delivery of significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs;
• Proficiency in making significant changes in large codebases and developing tools to do so safely;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration;
• Must be based in Spain;
• Nice to have: Experience with high-scale financial systems, proactive ownership of professional growth.
