50Hertz Transmission GmbH operates in electric power transmission, control, and distribution. The role supports applications used in the balancing services environment.

• Lead and support development teams while taking architectural responsibility;
• Develop and maintain frontend and backend software solutions across the full service lifecycle, including design, build/DevOps, and run;
• Analyze, resolve, and sustainably prevent production and stability issues;
• Build and develop service and operations structures;
• Ensure code quality, IT security, documentation, and compliance with best practices;
• Conduct tests and support release and operations processes;
• Collaborate closely with operations, Product Owners, business departments, and other stakeholders;
• Design and evolve software architecture, including architecture principles, target models, and technology stacks, while ensuring high availability and scalability.

• Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification;
• Several years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and JavaScript frameworks, ideally React;
• Strong knowledge of microservice architectures, API-centered system design, and highly available, scalable applications;
• Experience designing software architectures and operating applications, such as DevOps, SRE, or application support;
• Knowledge of modern development processes, including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing;
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes;
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and critical infrastructures;
• Very good English skills (C1);
• Good German skills (B2–C1);
• Nice to have: cloud-native development experience, knowledge of energy industry processes such as FCR/aFRR/mFRR, experience with regulatory IT systems, agile methods including Scrum and Kanban.

• The position is fixed-term for 2 years;
• Start date is as soon as possible;
• 37 Hours per week;
