EPAM's Financial Services Practice delivers technology solutions for a global investment bank operating across investment banking, securities, asset management, and consumer banking. The practice builds high-performance, data-intensive systems for financial services.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend services and applications;
• Build and enhance scalable RESTful APIs serving critical business functions;
• Implement reactive, event-driven solutions for high-throughput data processing;
• Work with NoSQL databases to manage and query large-scale datasets;
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability;
• Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions;
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design for scalability and performance;
• Operate within an Agile Scrum framework, delivering iteratively with continuous feedback.

• 6+ Years of professional software development experience;
• Strong Java development experience with a focus on Java 8 & 9;
• Experience with NoSQL databases;
• Experience implementing REST APIs;
• Experience with Reactive Programming;
• Solid experience implementing unit tests;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Good communication skills in English for collaboration within an international team;
• Nice to have: Experience developing applications in fintech or established financial institutions, microservice architectures, systems that can scale to large amounts of data, Agile Scrum, and globally distributed teams.

• The role requires working from the client's office in Warsaw 3 times a week.
