java developer in reference data platforms

The project is building a platform for a global bank that supports information gathering and processing across the organization and provides access to this data.

• Deliver development projects within agreed schedule, quality, and scope expectations
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC within an agile Scrum environment
• Build strategic reference data platforms for the client’s businesses and take ownership of key projects and components
• Handle all SDLC phases, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Develop and deploy technical solutions following engineering excellence standards
• Understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and how components fit together and affect one another
• Collaborate with a global, diverse team and liaise with Business Analysts, Production Support, and infrastructure teams
• Partner with technology vendors and develop a deep understanding of their products
• Enhance or re-architect existing components to meet performance and scalability requirements
• Provide Level 3 escalation support for the application

• At least 7+ years of experience with Java
• Experience with Java Core, JDBC, MT, Collections, I/O, and Spring Boot
• Experience with SQL, PL-SQL, and Oracle DB
• Experience with a Kubernetes-based container platform
• Experience with REST web services, Kafka, and Redis
• Unix command-line and shell scripting skills
• Familiarity with standard data structures and algorithms
• Experience with JIRA, Harness/uDeploy, SonarQube, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Git (GHE & Bitbucket)
• Strong logical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, innovation, and solution-oriented skills
• Effective time management and the flexibility to manage multiple priorities across time zones and timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• English proficiency at C1 level
