java developer in FX systems

The role supports Capital Markets clients by building backend applications that power FX trading and related financial systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot
• Develop and thoroughly test secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and tools such as Postman
• Integrate and manage databases using Spring Data JPA and Hibernate ORM for FX trading systems
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver software solutions
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure system reliability and scalability
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in Java development and Capital Markets

• Proven experience building robust, scalable server-side applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Java
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate ORM for database integration
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, version control, and agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

• £400 Per day (Inside IR35)
• £308.33 Daily ACR, plus £37.21 daily holiday pay
• Equivalent annual salary: £80,164.68 (including holiday paid upfront)
• Six-month engagement, starting in September / October and ending after six months
• London; 3 days at the client location and 2 days working from home
