A fast-growing travel-tech organisation develops high-traffic, consumer-facing systems used across Europe and is undertaking a major product evolution.

• Lead the evolution of a large-scale Java, Springboot, and MySQL platform to support a new universal architecture across multiple products;
• Design and implement new backend features, unit testing, API testing, and system improvements for web and mobile clients;
• Contribute to shared architecture, functional models, and backend design patterns to unify services across the organisation.

• Demonstrate senior-level expertise building and maintaining commercial, production-scale applications;
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in Java;
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in Springboot for server-side development and API design;
• Demonstrate deep proficiency in MySQL, including performance optimisation, complex queries, and relational modelling;
• Have experience architecting and maintaining distributed backend systems;
• Have a strong understanding of integration patterns, API design, and scalable service architecture;
• Nice to have: Node.js, PHP, MongoDB, Kafka, React for back office apps.

• £300-400/Day;
• 6-Month contract, with extension highly likely due to roadmap depth;
• Outside IR35.
