iOS platform engineer for mobile platforms

The iOS Engineering Platform supports mobile teams by improving developer experience, scalability, maintainability, and performance across the mobile ecosystem. It provides shared platform capabilities, engineering standards, and tooling for multiple product teams.

• Build and maintain shared platform capabilities for iOS development
• Improve modularisation, architecture, and engineering productivity across the codebase
• Develop internal SDKs, frameworks, and developer tooling
• Manage versioning, release processes, and distribution of internal SDKs and frameworks
• Drive performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability improvements across the mobile landscape
• Enable development teams by improving developer experience and platform usability
• Support adoption of platform solutions and guide teams through codebase migrations
• Contribute to Guild activities and share knowledge and best practices with peers
• Own the iOS platform direction and contribute to the technical roadmap and evolution of shared capabilities
• Define engineering standards and guide teams in applying them

• 8+ Years of professional experience in Swift and iOS development
• Experience with large-scale modular architectures and codebase decomposition
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable developer solutions, including SDKs, frameworks, libraries, and CLI tools
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, including GCD, Combine or similar reactive frameworks, and Swift Concurrency
• Experience working with large engineering communities and driving standards across teams
• Experience improving developer productivity through tooling, CI/CD, and development workflows
• Experience profiling applications and resolving memory, CPU, and startup-time performance issues
• Experience modernizing legacy iOS codebases, including Objective-C and refactoring
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently and drive technical initiatives end-to-end
• Understanding of architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture and VIPER
• Understanding of Accessibility standards and experience supporting accessibility best practices across iOS applications
• Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI
