Head of data governance and AI in statistics

We are seeking a highly qualified leader to spearhead the development of data governance and the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in Uzbekistan’s official statistics.

• develop and implement the Data Governance and AI strategy;
• introduce modern approaches to data management, integration, quality, security and use;
• advance solutions based on artificial intelligence and machine learning;
• coordinate projects involving Data Warehouses, Big Data, metadata and administrative data sources;
• lead a team and engage with government agencies, international organizations and technology partners;
• apply international standards and leading global practices.

• advanced professional knowledge and proven practical experience in Data Governance, Data Management and Artificial Intelligence;
• a university degree in information technology, artificial intelligence, Data Science, statistics, economics, applied mathematics or another related field (a degree from a leading international institution is an advantage);
• strong command of Uzbek, Russian and English;
• management experience, strategic thinking and strong analytical skills;
• experience in designing and implementing data governance policies, architectures and systems;
• ability to lead complex cross-government and technology projects.
