Sigma Software offers engineering work on globally used products. The project is a cybersecurity platform that protects applications from automated attacks and malicious traffic, identifies vulnerabilities, prevents cyber threats, and secures digital experiences at scale.

• Own and navigate a large backend ecosystem of multiple services with minimal ramp-up support;
• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang;
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code;
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions;
• Analyze legacy and unreviewed code to identify technical debt, systemic issues, and architectural risks;
• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement areas, then propose and implement solutions;
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define technical objectives and execute roadmap initiatives;
• Advocate for architectural improvements and negotiate technical decisions with peer engineering teams;
• Contribute to long-term platform evolution while balancing short-term business priorities;
• Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

• 5+ Years of commercial software development experience;
• Strong proficiency in Golang;
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design;
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, from planning and objective-setting to delivery and support;
• Proven experience with high-load, high-traffic production systems;
• Solid understanding of scalable and maintainable backend architecture principles;
• Ability to work independently with large and unfamiliar codebases;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues before escalation;
• Experience aligning technical solutions with business and customer needs;
• Ability to communicate and negotiate technical direction with engineering stakeholders;
• Upper-Intermediate English level;
• Highly proactive and self-driven approach;
• Strong ownership mentality;
• Confidence in making technical decisions and defending architectural approaches;
• Comfort working in ambiguous and complex environments;
• Strong collaboration and communication skills;
• Focus on long-term quality and engineering excellence;
• Nice to have: Experience with C++, Objective-C, or Rust, previous experience as a primary owner of a large-scale legacy system, experience with cybersecurity or infrastructure-focused products, background in distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
