Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a self-starting Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep experience in C# and .NET, and in Angular or React. You lead the design and delivery of complex systems and features, and you set the technical approach that other engineers build on. The role is client-facing. You take a client requirement and turn it into software that is secure, maintainable and fit for the business it serves.

The role is based in South Africa, in Johannesburg, Cape Town or remote. You will report to a Technical People Lead and work with distributed teams in London, New Zealand, India and the US. Expect to work on more than one engagement, and expect the mix to change as our client work changes.

You will also use AI every day. Our engineers use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to design, write, test and review code. We work within an approved toolset, and you stay accountable for every line that carries your name. We expect you to arrive able to do this well, to review AI-generated code at least as hard as your own, and to know when human judgement must lead.

The work falls into five areas. The first three take most of your time.

We assess candidates against our Senior Developer role expectations. These cover software development, the delivery lifecycle, code quality and testing, databases, DevOps and deployment, initiative and accountability, communication and collaboration, and leadership and mentorship. Our full stack expectations add frontend and backend engineering, integration and quality, and system thinking.
