full stack developer for public-sector programmes

• Design, develop, test and deploy modern cloud-native applications;
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable front-end and back-end solutions;
• Develop APIs, integrations and services within distributed and microservices-based architectures;
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes;
• Participate in technical design discussions and solution development activities;
• Support code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing across delivery teams;
• Contribute to engineering standards, automation, continuous integration and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges while maintaining quality, security and performance;
• Apply modern software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Strong commercial experience developing full-stack applications;
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript;
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React;
• Experience developing back-end services using Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python;
• Experience developing and consuming APIs and integration services;
• Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure;
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines;
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases;
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments;
• A Bachelor's Degree;
• Eligibility for UK Government BPSS screening and potentially UK National Security Vetting, including eSC and/or eDV clearance;
• Nice to have: Microservices architectures, event-driven design patterns, serverless technologies, Infrastructure as Code, cloud security and secure software development practices, DevSecOps experience, experience in public sector or other highly regulated environments, existing security clearance.
