• Own features end to end, shaping ideas with design and product, building the required frontend and backend, shipping them, and tracking their impact on metrics;
• Build performant, reusable React modules for the document editor, from UI primitives to complex stateful views;
• Write clean, strictly typed TypeScript focused on simplicity and long-term maintainability;
• Work across the stack as needed, including Cloud Functions, Firestore data models, security rules, and API contracts;
• Turn Figma designs into accurate, accessible, user-friendly interfaces that work well on slower laptops;
• Integrate APIs, AI features, and third-party services for authentication, payments, and analytics, building resilient flows;
• Profile and optimize rendering, bundle size, and real-time interaction performance;
• Protect security and privacy through authorization paths, tenant isolation, input validation, and careful handling of stored and logged data;
• Review pull requests, catch bugs, improve clarity, and maintain a high quality bar;
• Improve tooling, the component library, and the team's agent workflows to help the team ship faster;
• Help build the best document editor on the market.

• 8+ Years of hands-on engineering experience;
• Experience shipping complex product surfaces end to end, with real state, edge cases, and users;
• Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals, including reasoning about rendering, state ownership, and performance;
• Backend competence: ability to design data models, write Cloud Functions suitable for on-call ownership, and reason about security rules. Firebase experience is not required;
• Security and privacy awareness, including authorization, tenant isolation, input validation, secrets handling, and logging;
• Ability to explain an effective approach to using agents, including providing context, reviewing output, and deciding where not to use them;
• Careful code review skills and ability to distinguish useful feedback from AI-generated noise;
• Design sensibility, including evaluating Figma interactions and proposing practical improvements;
• Comfort working asynchronously and independently, planning work toward clear goals.
