full stack developer for production systems

The company develops and operates production software systems, including a Node.js/TypeScript backend service and a large React application with enterprise integrations.

• Deliver features end to end, from React forms to the stored procedures behind them
• Trace and explain business logic across the frontend, backend, and database
• Identify technical debt, decide what to address and when, and implement improvements
• Write specifications for new work and keep documentation synchronized with the code
• Handle production issues in existing systems and explain their causes
• Review code and participate in technical decisions with the engineering team

• 5+ Years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills
• Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and execution plans
• Comfortable working without a full ORM and writing SQL directly
• Strong React skills, including hooks, Redux Toolkit or comparable state management, data fetching, and working in a large existing component base
• Experience designing API contracts and integrations, including versioning and backward compatibility with external consumers
• Comfortable learning an in-house framework from its documentation and code
• Familiarity with dependency injection and DI containers
• Ability to write tests, including integration tests; the stack uses Vitest and tests against a real SQL Server instance in a local container
• Security awareness, including authentication and tokens, endpoint authorization, and injection
• Experience using AI coding agents and verifying their output; able to defend every submitted line in review
• Professional written English; spoken English is not required
