Frontend Engineer - ZEOS Portal

The ZEOS B2B Platform enables partners to integrate with and scale within the Zalando ecosystem through a high-performance, API-first environment. ZEOS provides business services and logistics infrastructure for partner-facing and internal products, supporting fashion and lifestyle e-commerce.

• Design and drive the technical vision for high-traffic customer portals and internal tools using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Guide the transition and optimization of Micro Frontend (MFE) and SPA architectures, ensuring seamless integration across the ZEOS partner landscape
• Translate complex business opportunities into scalable, cost-efficient, and industry-compliant solution designs
• Guide deployment strategies in AWS and Kubernetes environments, implementing Web Security through Okta/OpenID and proxy or gateway configurations
• Drive cross-area architectural consistency and improve development processes through CI/CD, high test coverage, and Design System maturity
• Support multidisciplinary teams and manage high-level stakeholders to ensure project alignment and technical integrity

• 3+ Years of experience as a Principal Engineer or Solutions Architect, with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-team projects in cloud environments
• Expert-level knowledge of the modern web stack, including React, TS, and Webpack, and deep experience managing Micro Frontends at scale
• Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, reverse proxies, and API gateways
• Practical experience implementing modern authentication flows such as OpenID/Okta and protecting applications against web vulnerabilities
• Experience owning the full development lifecycle, from discovery to CI/CD deployment and automated testing, in an Agile environment
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and mentor senior engineers through architectural decisions
• Strong delegation and high-level system thinking, with the ability to address critical technical challenges hands-on
