Frontend engineer for investment solutions

As we continue to expand our European operations, we are creating new positions in Portugal to support our teams, and we are looking for a a hands-on Senior Frontend Engineer to join the team responsible for Investment Solutions, a strategic product at Swiss Life Asset Managers. Investment Solutions is the central portal through which investors and clients can explore Swiss Life Asset Managers' investment vehicles and monitor the evolution of their portfolios. As a core business product, it plays a key role in delivering a modern, intuitive, and reliable digital experience to our clients.

• Develop and maintain high-quality frontend applications using TypeScript and modern web technologies.
• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces while ensuring excellent performance and usability.
• Design, implement, and maintain well-tested, maintainable, and secure code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver new features and continuously improve the product.
• Take ownership of technical solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and proactively address technical debt and code quality improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable software delivery.

• Several years of experience developing frontend applications with TypeScript in a browser environment.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation, and modern frontend frameworks, ideally including SvelteKit.
• Experience with modern software development practices and tools, including Git, code reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Understanding of secure software development principles and the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Comfortable working in Unix-based environments, including WSL on Windows.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, international teams.
