frontend developer in investment banking

The client operates in the investment banking industry and develops modern, scalable web applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications using React (17+) and TypeScript, with Angular exposure where required
• Build reusable UI components focused on performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and consume RESTful APIs, communicating requirements and constraints
• Translate business and product requirements into clean, intuitive user interfaces
• Apply clean code principles and front-end best practices across the codebase
• Write and maintain automated UI tests using React Testing Library, Cypress, and/or Playwright
• Implement and maintain application styling using CSS3, Less, and CSS Modules, taking ownership of the UI look and feel
• Participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, including refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Perform code reviews and improve front-end standards and tooling
• Work with QA, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality, business-aligned work
• Support and improve existing applications in an enterprise investment-banking environment

• Expertise in HTML5 and JavaScript (ES)
• At least 10 years of experience with React and TypeScript, including long-term React projects
• Experience testing UI applications with RTL, Cypress, or Playwright
• Proficiency in CSS3, Less, or CSS Modules
• Clean coding skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Experience with RESTful API design
• Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other agile practices
• Good communication skills and ability to clearly state requirements for the backend team
