frontend developer for video-call platforms

Solvex Solutions provides IT services, information services, and technology and media solutions. The role supports a long-term video-call platform project for a government client.

• Further develop and enhance a React/TypeScript video-call platform;
• Implement new features and UX improvements;
• Troubleshoot and resolve WebRTC video/audio issues;
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines;
• Expand automated unit and end-to-end testing;
• Ensure high standards for security and code quality;
• Implement and maintain accessibility requirements;
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and other project teams;
• Contribute to continuous improvement within an agile environment.

• Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS;
• Hands-on experience with WebRTC and the MediaDevices API;
• Strong understanding of Clean Code, SOLID, and Design Patterns;
• Experience with REST, HTTP, TLS, and OIDC;
• Knowledge of application security, including OWASP, CSP, CORS, and CVE management;
• Experience with Jest/Vitest and Playwright/Cypress;
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Bash/Python scripting, and containers;
• Knowledge of Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn, and ESLint;
• Experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban environments;
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and accessibility standards;
• German C1;
• The candidate must be located in Germany;
• Nice to have: experience with video/audio calling platforms.

• Contract duration until 30.06.2028;
• Start approximately 15.09.2026;
• Freelance or employment contract;
• 95% Remote and 5% on-site in Bonn.
