frontend developer for responsible AI

Faculty develops and deploys responsible AI for global customers across government, finance, retail, energy, life sciences, and defence. Its National Security and AI Safety business unit supports responsible AI development and deployment for national security, global stability, and AI safety.

• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and design specialists to build client-facing products;
• Prioritise, plan, coordinate, and communicate frontend features to internal and external stakeholders;
• Set up and maintain development and deployment infrastructure for the dedicated frontend team;
• Maintain and enforce technical best practices and standards across Faculty's frontend capacity;
• Create and maintain reusable component libraries for company-wide project use;
• Provide training, mentoring, and onboarding support for new frontend engineers;
• Act as the go-to authority for frontend software engineering within the team.

• Demonstrated experience building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested web applications with React;
• High proficiency in ES6 JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3;
• Hands-on experience writing TypeScript or other typed languages;
• Experience with data visualisation techniques and implementations such as d3;
• Exposure to cloud deployment platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure;
• Strong focus on technical excellence and willingness to set standards and mentor others.

• Applicants may need to be eligible for UK Developed Vetting (DV);
• Willingness to work on site with Government clients from time to time;
• Part-time hours are open for discussion;
