• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and support engineers’ career growth, performance, and skill development
• Own squad momentum and delivery rhythm
• Work with product and design to break down projects, manage trade-offs, remove friction, and keep shipping cycles fast and predictable
• Implement just enough process to keep teams aligned and unblocked while avoiding bureaucracy and rigid frameworks
• Build a team environment based on accountability, trust, and autonomy; maintain morale and foster craftsmanship and ownership
• Partner with Talent and Leadership to recruit, interview, and onboard engineering talent as the team scales

• 2+ Years of experience managing engineering teams in fast-moving, high-bar product startups or tech companies
• Strong execution instincts, including scoping down features, identifying bottlenecks, and maintaining delivery without sacrificing quality
• Passion for developing people, active listening, and empowering engineers
• A software engineering background or strong technical foundation to understand architectural trade-offs, technical friction, and team discussions
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, handling operational tasks, and adapting as product priorities evolve

• Compensation is slightly above market on salary and above market on equity
