Take ownership of the team's rituals and continuously improve how the team works
Build relationships with squad leads and product managers so backend work is included in squad plans from the start of each quarter
Own the team's contribution to the OKR process, build the quarterly roadmap with engineers, and keep progress visible to dependent teams
Grow the team through regular 1:1s, development goals, and timely feedback; address accountability issues early
Hire for the team as it grows, together with the Talent Acquisition team
Monitor production issues and outages, route them to the right person, and ensure they are resolved
требования
Experience leading an engineering team with direct reports and helping it take on new responsibilities or change how it works
Several years of experience as a senior backend engineer before moving into management
Ability to coach engineers to make decisions and handle stakeholder conversations independently
Clear, friendly communication and composure under pressure, including during outages
Ability to build strong relationships with leads and stakeholders, hold your ground, and stay open to the best solution
Strong product mindset and ability to connect the team's work to user and business needs
Ability to follow up on topics before they stall
