data engineer in cloud communications

Intermedia provides cloud communications and collaboration technology that helps companies connect better.

• Build and fix data ingestion, transformation, and consumption pipelines
• Write dbt models with tests and documentation
• Trace data issues from reports back to source systems
• Resolve incidents involving MSSQL jobs, Snowflake tasks, and S3 files
• Run backfills, validate results, and confirm fixes
• Move data from MSSQL to Snowflake without data loss
• Monitor systems to identify problems before users do
• Document work for the team

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
• 3–5 Years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related field
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, CTEs, and query performance analysis
• Ability to read and troubleshoot stored procedures
• Production experience with MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or a similar database
• Understanding of raw, staging, and consumption data layers and the impact of shortcuts
• Understanding of incremental loads, watermarks, and the trade-offs between MERGE and INSERT
• Experience with Git branches, pull requests, and code reviews
• Ability to manage tickets and complete work independently
