Data Engineer

The company develops digital health solutions for individuals with chronic conditions, utilizing IoT, sensor, and AI technologies to provide personalized care and health management tools.

• Develop scalable data management and data processing architectures;
• Manage data acquisition from API, batch, event or streaming sources;
• Develop processes for data aggregation;
• Design and develop data pre- and post-processing stages;
• Plan and design for data governance, security, provenance and the overall data lifecycle;
• Leverage cloud technologies to cater for OLTP and OLAP business needs;
• Integrate ML models and analytic components into workflows, including MLOps;
• Work closely with Data Science and Application Development teams in an agile process.

• B.Sc., B.Eng. or higher in Computer Science, Computer/Electronic/Systems Engineering, or similar;
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer;
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data;
• Experience with creating, cleaning and curating datasets and databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Bigtable, or time-series databases;
• Serverless/distributed processing experience;
• Knowledge of scheduling workflows, such as DAGs with Apache Airflow;
• Experience with various ETL approaches;
• Practical experience with ETL, Data Pipelines and Cloud Deployments;
• Experience with AWS, Docker, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD and monitoring;
• Business proficient in English (spoken and written);
• Nice to have: Strong engineering interest in ML and data science, exposure to classical and deep learning-based ML methods, knowledge of languages and libraries such as Julia, Python, Boto3, Parquet, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
