Data Engineer

The Tech & Data practice at PwC provides opportunities to assist clients in gaining competitive advantages by collaborating with business leaders to address complex challenges and identify strategic opportunities.

• Build data pipelines to move and transform data across cloud and on-prem systems;
• Develop optimised data models ensuring performance, scalability and data quality;
• Integrate data from multiple sources while applying governance and quality controls;
• Implement optimised datasets for reporting and analytics;
• Work with stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable data solutions.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field;
• At least 2 years of experience in ETL/ELT and data integration using Azure and/or Databricks;
• Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL/KQL) and Python/PySpark for data transformation and processing;
• Hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks;
• Strong understanding of data architecture and modelling (dimensional/relational);
• Experience in scalable cloud and on-prem platforms (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS);
• Fluent in both written and spoken English;
• Fluent in both written and spoken Portuguese;
• Nice to have: Know-how in data quality, governance and/or Power BI data modelling.
