A large US hedge fund develops global trading systems and is migrating a monolithic C++ platform to a new distributed architecture.

• Develop and optimize robust, well-tested low-latency C++ trading systems;
• Port legacy and modern C++ code to a distributed platform;
• Refactor code safely and efficiently;
• Participate in weekly sprints and daily stand-ups with developers worldwide;
• Study programming languages and their evolution;
• Perform constructive code reviews for other developers;
• Drive increasing efficiency in modern financial markets.

• C++98 through C++11; experience with C++14, C++17, and C++20 is preferred;
• Strong algorithms and software engineering skills;
• Good written and spoken English;
• Strong unit testing skills;
• Linux and gdb;
• Willingness to do what is needed to get the job done;
• Humility and ability to accept constructive code review criticism;
• Nice to have: Boost, gtest, Abseil, DPDK, trading systems for equities, futures, FX, or commodities, FIX, ITCH, OUCH, SBE, Kafka, Pulsar, Aeron, distributed systems, heavy template metaprogramming, CI/CD, DevOps, GitLab, Python, Java.
