• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team;
• Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and support them throughout delivery;
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle;
• Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs;
• Identify project, process, technology, and business issues and lead efforts to solve them;
• Own team operations and availability by maintaining monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting for operational and on-call efforts;
• Set or improve code review and design standards for the team and advocate for them beyond the team through writing and tech talks;
• Develop team talent by providing feedback and guidance and leading by example.

• 4+ Years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin;
• Experience developing highly available distributed systems with technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes;
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs;
• Ability to write high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others;
• Proficiency in making significant changes in a large codebase;
• Experience developing tools and practices that enable safe changes for the candidate and the team;
• Ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback-seeking from the team, manager, and stakeholders;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team;
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field;

• Base pay range: 308,000 zł - 428,000 zł per year;
