Monzo is a UK banking company that provides personal and business bank accounts, joint accounts, children’s accounts, credit cards, savings, investments, and pension services. Its mission is to make money work for everyone by simplifying traditional banking and improving customers’ financial lives.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary squad to deliver customer impact;
• Build and support a specific part of Monzo’s banking platform;
• Solve complex challenges across banking products, infrastructure, security, payments, finance, customer operations, financial crime, and data;
• Work with colleagues across disciplines, including product managers, marketers, user researchers, designers, mobile engineers, web engineers, data analysts, business analysts, and writers;
• Design and build services using the company’s engineering platform.

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product;
• Product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions;
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity;
• Interest in distributed systems and resilient software;
• Experience with strongly typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala;
• No formal qualifications or degree required.
