Backend Developer

Accessiway is a European company focused on making the digital world accessible to everyone.

• Build and maintain Lambda functions, ECS-hosted services, and REST APIs behind API Gateway using TypeScript
• Design asynchronous workflows with SNS and SQS for audit results, notifications, and external service integrations
• Manage Docker containers and deploy services via ECS/ECR, including task definitions and image lifecycles
• Design schemas, migrations, and queries across Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and optimize performance
• Contribute to AWS CDK stacks using TypeScript and develop Infrastructure as Code skills

• At least 3 years of backend experience shipping production-ready Node.js services
• Strong server-side TypeScript skills, including clean, well-typed asynchronous code and scalable architecture
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS/SNS, ECS, API Gateway, RDS, and DynamoDB
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Comfortable with distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and complex integrations
• Proactive ownership, problem-solving, and pride in delivering work
• Based in and already legally authorized to work in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, or Portugal
