AI engineer in renewable energy

ELANI One is the agentic operating system for renewable energy. We support developers, IPPs and utilities in developing more projects, faster and at lower costs. We are looking for a founding AI engineer to build this new category with us: AI agents that work alongside development teams on permits, grid processes and investment decisions.

• Build our agentic platform end to end, from data model and APIs to agent workflows
• Create an intuitive, user-friendly interface that all users enjoy working with
• Design agents and agentic workflows that act reliably and increase the efficiency of project teams and management
• Build in enterprise foundations from day one: multi-tenancy, access control, audit trails and GDPR
• Turn customer needs into a working product, together with the founder
• Shape our culture and help build our team

• A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including a B2B SaaS product you took to production with business customers
• Strength across the stack: backend, modern frontend frameworks, databases, cloud and CI/CD
• Hands-on experience bringing LLMs and AI agents into production
• Security instincts: you think about tenants, permissions and audit trails
• A pragmatic startup mindset: ship early, learn from customers and iterate
• Fluent English
