AI engineer in RAG applications

• Build and further develop our in-house AI system, taking it from an existing prototype to a productive enterprise application.
• Develop and maintain the application using C#/.NET (backend) and Angular (frontend).
• Design and implement AI-powered features such as enterprise search, document analysis and chat based on internal data (RAG).
• Integrate the system with existing enterprise applications and data sources, particularly Microsoft 365 and project and document platforms.
• Select, evaluate and integrate suitable AI models, and continuously develop the AI architecture.
• Establish quality, testing and monitoring concepts to ensure reliable system performance.
• Operate and further develop the underlying AI infrastructure (Linux, Docker, GPU and inference servers), including performance and capacity management.
• Support business departments by providing consulting, training and documentation relating to AI applications and new use cases.

• A completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in software development with C#/.NET, as well as knowledge of Angular/TypeScript and Python.
• Practical experience with LLM applications, e.g. RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
• Experience operating Linux systems and Docker, ideally also GPU-based infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of current AI models, their potential uses and limitations.
• A basic understanding of data protection, IT security and regulatory requirements (e.g. the EU AI Act).
• Strong communication skills and a desire to explain complex technical topics clearly.
• Fluent German skills at C1 level or higher.
