• Enable product and engineering teams to adopt AI effectively;
• Identify and refine AI use cases with product and engineering teams;
• Support teams in integrating AI capabilities into systems and workflows through guidance on patterns, trade-offs, and implementation approaches;
• Promote consistent and reusable solutions across teams;
• Develop or extend shared components, integrations, and services when needed;
• Define and implement patterns for integrating LLM capabilities into the platform;
• Contribute to shared components and lightweight services that simplify access to AI capabilities;
• Manage AI costs and budget usage for shared model access and services;
• Support retrieval-based approaches that make internal knowledge accessible to AI-driven use cases;
• Evaluate tools, platforms, and approaches for scalability, security, and maintainability;
• Help teams choose appropriate solutions based on context;
• Contribute to a pragmatic and consistent approach to AI usage;
• Optimize AI system efficiency through model selection, cost-performance trade-offs, inference latency, and token usage optimization;
• Support safeguards including access controls, validation, and monitoring;
• Collaborate with Security, Legal, and other stakeholders on AI usage requirements;
• Contribute to reliable solutions aligned with internal standards.

• 5+ Years of experience as a Software Engineer, focused on backend or platform development;
• Strong generalist mindset and comfort working across technical domains;
• Experience with production systems and cross-team collaboration;
• Comfort working in environments with evolving scope and priorities;
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; Python preferred and JVM languages also relevant;
• Experience with cloud environments; AWS preferred;
• Solid understanding of APIs, system integration, and distributed systems;
• Practical experience with AI tools or platforms, such as LLM APIs or similar technologies;
• Familiarity with prompt design, context engineering, retrieval-based approaches, or AI-driven workflows;
• Ability to assess where AI adds value and where it does not.
