ux/ui designer for mobile wellness apps

Therabody is a wellness technology company creating products, proprietary software, and digital content across wellness, performance, and beauty.

• Concept and design mobile app experiences across onboarding, device pairing, guided routines, progress tracking, and personalization;
• Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for iOS and Android;
• Translate product requirements and user insights into functional mobile designs;
• Collaborate with product and data teams to identify friction points and improve engagement and retention;
• Apply Therabody’s brand guidelines and mobile design system for visual consistency;
• Partner with mobile engineers to hand off designs and QA implementations;
• Build design variants for A/B tests and experiments to improve app metrics;
• Participate in user research, usability testing, and journey mapping.

• 5+ Years of UX/UI design experience focused on native mobile apps;
• Portfolio demonstrating mobile app work, including onboarding flows, feature design, navigation patterns, and core app experiences;
• Proficiency in Figma and experience with established design systems and component libraries;
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools such as Figma AI, Galileo, Relume, or similar;
• Strong understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design principles;
• Experience with user research and usability testing;
• Familiarity with mobile interaction patterns, gesture-based navigation, accessibility, and performance constraints;
• Collaborative and adaptable, with clear communication and openness to feedback;
• Ability to explain design rationale and trade-offs to stakeholders;
• Nice to have: experience with connected hardware or health and wellness apps, experience designing connected device ecosystems including Bluetooth pairing, device controls, and real-time data visualization.

• The role is freelance;
• Salary range: 45,000 - 55,000 GBP per year.
