• Set design strategy across multiple product areas and their platform connections;
• Partner with SLT, ELT, and C-suite executives to shape company direction and resolve strategic conflicts;
• Present to and influence executive leadership regarding the competitive advantage of design;
• Lead company-wide strategic projects requiring alignment across all products, platforms, and business units;
• Identify company-wide opportunities by spotting patterns across product areas to inform multi-year strategic planning;
• Establish design practices, methods, frameworks, and tools that become industry benchmarks;
• Solve highly ambiguous, precedent-setting challenges to create clear strategies for executive decision-making;
• Shape platform evolution and define how platform designs create competitive advantage;
• Develop senior design talent through mentoring and advising executives on design leadership;
• Set and embody quality standards across all products, markets, and platforms worldwide;
• Build external partnerships with agencies, vendors, and academic institutions.

• 10+ Years of product design experience with a focus on strategy for complex, multi-product organizations;
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic impact at scale, resolution of strategic conflicts, and measurable business value;
• Proven track record of working with C-level executives and influencing company-wide decisions;
• Excellence in platform thinking and establishing organizational design standards;
• Demonstrated thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, or industry recognition;
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect design decisions to multi-year business outcomes;
• Experience building design capabilities, including operations, governance, and talent development;
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, HCI, or a related field;
• Nice to have: Experience in media, publishing, or financial services at enterprise scale, background in design transformation or digital modernization, track record of M&A integration, experience establishing design organizations in global companies, published books or research, board or advisory experience, university-level teaching experience, patents or innovations in design methods, experience with emerging technologies (AI/ML), international business experience.
