Eight Sleep is a sleep fitness company developing hardware, software, and AI technology that transforms sleep into a personalized, data-driven recovery experience. Its products help users improve mental, physical, and emotional performance, serving high performers, professional athletes, and health-conscious consumers in over 30 countries.

• Design and evolve the Eight Sleep mobile app end to end, from information architecture and low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity mockups;
• Conduct usability studies and user interviews to inform design work;
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate design success and make decisions that improve the app experience, reduce churn, and increase engagement;
• Deliver engaging, intuitive, and seamless user experiences that increase membership value and support hardware innovations;
• Build, document, and organize UI components for the design library and system;
• Align with Product and Brand stakeholders and present design updates to C-suite leadership;
• Own app design patterns and interactions, researching emerging mobile design trends and best practices;
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Brand, Marketing, and Research & Development teams to ship products and features.

• 4+ Years of experience in UX and UI;
• Strong portfolio with live mobile examples;
• Experience shipping designs to public users with data demonstrating success or failure;
• Ability to assess the technical implications of design decisions and balance user value with technical effort;
• Experience coaching junior designers and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers;
• High standards for simplicity and visual quality;
• Ability to manage the design process end to end in ambiguous environments;
• Ability and flexibility to iterate quickly and frequently;
• Confidence writing clear agendas and decks and presenting design evolutions to C-suite leadership;
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations in San Francisco and Milan;
• Bachelor’s degree in a related design field or equivalent experience;
• Nice to have: Experience building iconic consumer-facing mobile apps at small and mid-size tech startups, experience designing mobile apps for Android.
