Product Designer

Taxfix develops intuitive tax-filing apps that help people file their taxes and claim refunds with confidence. Taxfix Group operates across Germany, Spain, and the UK with brands including Taxfix and Steuerbot.

• Take user problems from rough ideas to shipped interfaces with minimal handoffs;
• Write briefs, design flows, prototype solutions, and own the full design loop;
• Plan and own design activities within the mission team, aligning them with timelines and quarterly OKRs;
• Translate business goals, technical constraints, and data into implementable and measurable design solutions;
• Support the UK team’s design thinking by pressure-testing ideas, providing direction, and delivering designs when needed;
• Use AI tools, Figma, and code to explore, prototype, and accelerate design work;
• Deploy rapid, experience-driven experiments directly into production to evaluate customer demand;
• Extend the design system for new use cases and contribute effective patterns back to it;
• Refine details that make the tax product feel trustworthy;
• Measure work by changes in user outcomes and remain accountable for team metrics;
• Give direct feedback regardless of seniority and raise blockers openly;
• Work across design, product, and engineering, including writing briefs and building in code when faster than Figma.

• 5+ Years of experience in product design, ideally in a product organisation;
• Proven track record of shipping interfaces used by real customers and connecting design work to measurable outcomes;
• Strong visual sensibility, high craft standards, and attention to detail;
• Ability to build and manage personal AI workflows, including knowing when to trust, edit, or reject AI output;
• First-principles problem-solving focused on users rather than starting with a component library;
• Ability to ship trusted interfaces, create testable prototypes from user problems, and use AI coding tools to build real products;
• Experience working with measurable outcomes and identifying whether target metrics moved;
• Experience getting products into users’ hands, running A/B tests, and using data science models for feedback;
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, act without full clarity, collect signal, and iterate;
• Experience in user research and usability testing;
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to balance user needs and business requirements;
• Ability to deliver against tight seasonal deadlines;
• Negative filter: this role is not suitable for candidates who want a PM to define the problem and an engineer to implement the solution, resist working in code or with AI, consider user engagement a research responsibility, hand off polished Figma files as the final step, or judge work only by taste rather than outcomes;
• Nice to have: native-level English.
